Kamahi Native Honey
The smooth velvety amber honey, with a hint of malt flavour and not as sweet as most other honey types sure packs a flavour punch.
Happy Valley's Kamahi Honey is buttery golden-yellow in colour with a rich bouquet of flavour and after tones. Kamahi honey has a smooth creamy texture and is packed full of natural goodness and taste with a natural and distinctive aroma.
Most Kamahi honey is produced on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island where the native Kamahi tree grows abundantly in the forest canopy. Honeybees can be found gathering the nectar from the spike of small, creamy white flowers in spring.

Kamahi's earthy, slightly nutty flavour is deliciously paired with fresh fruit and creamy cheeses such as Brie and Camembert and the ideal sweetener for spicy dishes, such as Thai food, as it has a flavour slightly reminiscent of palm sugar.
It is a honey of outstanding quality and revered by chefs for its unique flavour profile.
Add lashings on breakfast cereals, drizzle on toast and in tea.
Feeling adventurous? Whip up a batch of date scones, or add it to your favourite Thai dish to balance the spiciness.
